College Professor

A Journey in Learning and Teaching

Hi, I’m [Your Name], and languages have been my lifelong passion. My academic path began with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, where I majored in Classics and Spanish Studies. I spent semesters abroad in Greece and Italy, experiences that deepened my love for culture and communication. Later, I earned my Master’s degree in International Marketing from the American Graduate School of International Management (AGSIM). Along the way, I gained valuable post-graduate teaching and field experience in Mexico, where I learned first-hand how language opens doors.

Business in Puerto Rico

A World of Business Experience

My professional career began in 1980, taking me across Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. These assignments not only honed my international marketing skills but also connected me with diverse cultures and perspectives. It was during this time in Puerto Rico that I met my beautiful wife, and together we built our life and family in the United States.

ESL Classroom with Students

From the Classroom to Leadership

Back in the U.S., I combined my love of language and my leadership skills. I first served as General Manager of the Portland School of Languages, then later founded and directed the Community Language Institute. There, I specialized in preparing executives for overseas service, creating accelerated Spanish and culture courses tailored to their destinations. It was deeply rewarding work—helping professionals feel confident and culturally aware before stepping into a new world.

Principal and Programmer of Maestro Inglés

A New Mission for LATAM Learners

When I took early retirement, I knew I wasn’t done with teaching. I decided to focus my energy on a mission close to my heart: helping Latin American Spanish speakers master English. Drawing on my decades of experience, I set out to design the best possible online ESL program for the LATAM community—one that is practical, culturally aware, and truly effective.

Launch Celebration of Maestro Inglés

Maestro Inglés Is Born

When I retired early, I knew I wasn’t finished teaching. My new mission was clear: help Latin American Spanish speakers master English with a program that’s practical, culturally aware, and truly effective.

Most online ESL courses fall short in two big ways—they cost too much or they struggle with technology. Cost was easy to fix: without big-corporate overhead, I can offer high-quality ESL for less.

The bigger challenge was technology. Many LATAM students face frozen screens, garbled audio, and dropped connections that interrupt learning. After extensive testing, I built Maestro Inglés on the fastest, most reliable software, hardware, and networks available—so your lessons run smoothly, every time.

Better access. Better value. Better English.

You’re Welcome.
